Welcome back! Today is Tuesday, week 8, of this individual journey.
Let’s start off by saying: I LOVE TECHNOLOGY.
I love where our world finds ways to develop and how we learn to adapt to our own ideas.
Now, the statement seems a lot bigger than the actual why will be, but the sentiment and appreciation is real.
Yesterday, I was in a bit of a rut and needed a change. I have been putting off cleaning my room for a while – the deep clean, donate everything, kind – and I felt a deep desire to do something about it. At the same time, I still really need to keep reading about stress and personality types to stay up to date with my project.
I ended up buying audio books, which I listened to while cleaning my room.
It was one of the most relaxing experiences I’ve had in a very long time. The combination of creating a clean space, while listening to a calm voice talking about my personality… Heaven. Absolute heaven.
At the end of my deep clean, I had finished Tyler Bordan’s “Introvert” and am halfway through “Why should extroverts make all the money?” by Marsha Boone Kelley.
It’s a bit sad to say that I can only find the time, or concentration, to listen to books, instead of reading them. But I have never been a huge book reader, even when I love the content.
So I consider this 1,5 book in one day a HUGE success, and another happy step in the right direction for me.
Speaking of successes:
Today was a big day. I spend most of the day just doing some work, nothing special.
But at night, I had to go to one of my clients to discuss some issues with their social media accounts and make some plannings for the future.
A little introduction:
The last time I met up with them (same time, same setting, same preparation), I ended up drinking a coffee during the meeting, going home nauseous, and being awake all night afterwards feeling extremely sick. This was somewhere end last years.
This time, I chose a tea – because I was less tired – and had no issues at all. Of course, I was cautious and took some small mental breaks in between, but the results speak for themselves!
I came home afterwards, able to still eat something, and go to bed calmly. What a difference!
My situation has not been fun, and after a small calculation I figured out not-fun has been going on for 7 months, but I can see the progress and I can see myself slowly healing.
Steps back are not enjoyable, but the journey is SO worth it.
They might be very hard learned lessons, but I am beyond thrilled to see myself developing and learning along the way.
Nice to hear that you are backing on track, and enjoying your personal study. And I like the storytelling of drinking tea or coffee LOL.. And I hope that you keep this energy up and will see u next time!
Spring cleaning is always a good way to put some order in your life and “start clean”.It is nice that you found a way how to combine the two things that you want to do. I agree that listening to books while doing something else is amazing and thanks to modern technology we can do that. You can be way more efficient than just sitting and reading a book. I am super happy that you are making progress with your mental state and you are improving every day.
Oef Cleaning perfect, Your room shows your mental state and vice versa. glad to hear you getting back on track
